Janet Hanks Standing
Ms. Standing joined Conklin Benham, P.C. in December 2003.
Prior to joining Conklin Benham, Ms. Standing was employed as a senior trial attorney exclusively handling workers’ compensation defense matters for a large insurance company. In this position, she represented a variety of employers in Michigan. As a senior trial attorney, Ms. Standing was responsible for assigning and coordinating the handling of litigated workers’ compensation cases. She supervised the handling of all workers’ compensation cases and attorneys and was responsible for the day to day management of seven staff members, with duties including the reorganization of personnel and dockets to provide efficient, quality legal representation.
Ms. Standing has conducted numerous seminars on various topics concerning workers’ compensation matters. Ms. Standing created and was the editor of The Michigan Adviser, a quarterly legal newsletter with a distribution list of over 300 clients. The newsletter was published and distributed for seven years and subsequently published to the web.
