Mr. Danforth is a shareholder at Conklin Benham, P.C., a U.S. News & World Reports Best Law Firm Tier 1. Richard Danforth is a graduate of Hillsdale College.  He became a member of the State Bar of Michigan in November of 1982 after graduation from the University of Detroit School of Law.  His law practice has been centered in litigation, defending individuals and businesses in lawsuits involving alleged premises liability, automobile negligence, construction defects, toxic torts, products liability, business torts, intentional torts, insurance coverages, and appeals. 

Mr. Danforth has worked at private law firms and national insurance companies including a stint as managing attorney.  Mr. Danforth is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court and all state and federal courts in Michigan and has tried cases in the circuit and district courts of Michigan.  He has briefed and argued appeals before the Michigan Court of Appeals and Michigan Supreme Court.

Mr. Danforth’s personal interests include volunteer work at church and schools, physical fitness, distance running, reading history and travel.  He joined Conklin Benham, P.C., as an associate attorney in December 2019.
