Lou Ognisanti
Mr. Ognisanti joined Conklin Benham, P.C. in April, 2023. He previously served as a magistrate on the Workers’ Compensation Board of Magistrate from January, 2011, through January, 2023, when he retired. He was originally appointed by Governor Rick Snyder in January, 2011, re-appointed by Governor Snyder in January, 2015, and re-appointed by Governor Gretchen Whitmer in January, 2019.
Mr. Ognisanti graduated from Albion College in 1967 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and English. He attended Wayne State University Law School graduating cum laude in 1973.
He joined the Saginaw law firm of Braun Kendrick Finkbeiner as an associate in June, 1973, and became a partner in January, 1979. His practice included insurance defense, workers’ compensation and labor and employment litigation representing employers. He served as the managing partner of the firm from 1988 until 1994.
